WHAT’S ON – JUNE 2026
30 Days Wild
In the busyness of daily life, it’s easy to overlook the quiet, grounding presence of nature. This June, The Wildlife Trusts invite you to rediscover the joy and calm that comes from connecting with it, helping to build deeper, more mindful relationships with the natural world.
As part of their 30 Days Wild challenge, they’re encouraging everyone to enjoy one simple, nature-inspired activity each day, or a few each week, throughout June – whether that’s eating outdoors, planting wildflower seeds or simply pausing to listen to birdsong.
Visit The Wildlife Trusts for free resources and inspiration throughout June.

The Great Big Green Week (June 6-14)
During The Climate Coalition’s Great Big Green Week, there will be all sorts of events around the country, from beach cleans and allotment tours to community craft groups and nature trails. To find a local event, visit The Climate Coalition.
More than a million people took part in 2025. This year’s theme, Together for Good, celebrates the power of communities coming together to take practical action for nature, climate and the places they live. From small everyday changes to larger local events, each action contributes to a growing movement for positive change.
UN World Oceans Day (8 June)
This year’s theme, Reimagine, invites a shift in how we see the ocean. For too long it has been treated as distant and separate from everyday life, when in reality it shapes the air we breathe, the food we eat and the climate we depend on. A recent international agreement to protect ocean life beyond national borders marks a new phase in global cooperation and a call to take more responsibility for its future.
Clean Air Day (18 June)
Clean Air Day, coordinated by Global Action Plan, is the UK’s largest air pollution campaign, aiming to raise awareness of the health risks linked to air pollution and inspire collective action to improve air quality. This year, the campaign is encouraging people to call on their local councillors to champion clean air in their communities.
Insect Week (22-28 June)
Insect Week is a celebration of insect life, coordinated by the Royal Entomological Society. The event highlights the ecological importance of insects and is backed by various organisations throughout the UK and Europe.
