WHAT’S ON – JUNE 2025
30 Days Wild
In the busyness of daily life, it’s easy to overlook the quiet, grounding presence of the natural world around us. This June, The Wildlife Trusts invite you to rediscover the joy and calm that comes from being present in nature, helping to build deeper, more mindful relationships with the natural world.
As part of their 30 Days Wild challenge, they’re encouraging everyone to enjoy one simple, nature-inspired activity each day – whether it’s eating outdoors, planting wildflower seeds or simply pausing to listen to birdsong.
When you sign up, you’ll receive resources to help you plan and enjoy your wild month. Sign up at The Wildlife Trusts for free resources to help you plan your month.

During The Climate Coalition’s Great Big Green Week, there will be all sorts of events around the country, from beach cleans and allotment tours to community craft groups and nature trails. To find a local event, visit The Climate Coalition.
The coalition is encouraging communities across the UK to make swaps to help create a better future:
“From neighbours swapping skills in repair cafes or allotments, to businesses swapping fossil fuels for solar panels, to friends swapping fast fashion for second-hand finds – every swap will add together to make a big difference.”
UN World Oceans Day (June 8)
The theme for 2025’s World Oceans Day is “Wonder: Sustaining What Sustains Us,” an acknowledgement that wonder often sparks discovery and innovation. This World Oceans Day celebrates the ocean’s vast and essential wonder, urging decision-makers to honour it when shaping the future of our oceans.

Insect Week (June 23-29)
Insect Week is a celebration of insect life, coordinated by the Royal Entomological Society. The event highlights the ecological importance of insects and is backed by various organisations throughout the UK and Europe.
